Our server players often ask the question: "How do I get Dark Sorrow and where do I start?"
In this regard, I decided to write a small guide with recommendations for the entire quest line from 0 to CMM.First quest- Holiness and filth
Saving up ~ 70000 gold to buy 25pcs Ancient Saronite.

Second quest- Edge of Darkness
We reforge the hammer at the forge, which is next to Morgraine, after which we hand over the quest itself and get the Edge of Darkness
Third quest- Feast of Souls
We just put our hatchet on the character and go to the clk to kill trash (it counts in both 10 and 25 difficulty modes), to complete the quest you need to kill exactly 1000 mobs.
Fourth quest- Power of Unholy
We put the Edge of Darkness in our hands, sit down in the "aboma", drink a puddle with the 1 button to 100% of the power of unholyness (100 green energy), after which the Infusion of Darkness key appears and use it on the slug. Next, just kill the boss, the main thing is not to die
Important: no matter what one of the members of the raid group wears a face, it is highly undesirable to hit the flasks with an "abom". The quest is only done in 25 player mode.
Fifth quest- Power of blood
We put on the Edge of Darkness again, get the Bloody Mirror buff, catch the bite of Lanella, bite 3 times and get the Satisfying Thirst buff, then kill the boss.
Tips: if you are a paladin, do not use a bubble, put on a tanko mshot, but do not remove the edge, ask the hpals for a particle of light. Also, at the beginning of the battle, I advise you to run along with the main tank to get a mirror, at this moment the entire raid does not cause damage to the boss, so that only you get the bite (although it is possible to get the second bite, in which case the DPS may have to be stopped). The quest is only done in 25 player mode.
Sixth quest- Power of Ice
We dress the Edge of Darkness on the character, and stand under the breath of Sindragosa along with the tank. Get 4 stacks of Ice Strength buff and kill the boss.
Important: the presence of a tank spec + tank gear, so the mandatory presence of armor for frost resistance (see p.s) Do not use a bubble (if you are a paladin), do not give freedom, keep a particle of light on you. The quest is only done in 25 player mode.
Seventh quest- Shattered Throne
To complete, you need to collect a total of 50 pieces of Shadow Ice Shard. Drop only in 25 player mode. Normal difficulty ~ 3-5 shards, heroic ~ 5-7 shards.

In order for the ax to be able to pierce the armor of the Lich King, Darkmourne must be decorated with a fragment of the Frozen Throne, which was once created by Kil'jaeden from the ice of the Twisting Nether.
While this ax in the hands of real heroes again and again destroys the forces of the Scourge, I want to talk about how each of us (if, of course, he is a warrior, paladin or death knight) will be able to independently collect this weapon by completing a difficult chain of quests.

The essence of the quest is that you need to kill monsters in the Icecrown Citadel raid. This time, the difficulty does not matter - the task is performed in both the 10-person version and the 25-person version. Hitting a monster from the pack once (and you must be armed with [Shadow's Edge]), all of them are debuffed - Dark Lot . As soon as the next monster dies (you do not have to deal the final blow), a purple soul ray flies out of its body, increasing the soul counter in the task by one. At the same time, the voice of the Lich King inevitably haunts you.
At the moment, the task counts:
- Monsters that have reputation with the Ashen Union.
- Adds Lady Deathwhisper.
- Large Rotface Slugs.
- Slugs of Professor Putricide.
- Ghouls from the traps in front of Professor Putricide.
- Adds on Valithria Dreamwalker.
- Monsters with no reputation or monsters without loot.
- Thorns at Lord Rebrad.
- Zombie Charms.
- Blood monsters of Saurfang.
- Any monsters in Air Combat.
- Illusions of players summoned by the Val'kyr in the center of the Spire.
Power of Unholy is the first of three quests that aim to imbue your weapons with three death knight powers. The first of three quests that will make your raid sweat.
To complete the quest, you will have to climb into the skin of the Mutated Abomination in the fight with Professor Putricide. Read more about the strategy for killing this boss in the article. This and the two following quests are only available in the 25 player version.
A distinctive feature of the fight here is that the Abomination that slows the slugs will be forced to skip one slow in order to accumulate the required amount of energy (100 units). A person with [Shadow's Edge] will have an additional button on the abomination's control panel - the Shadow Ward ability. Using it gives the player a buff that allows them to absorb Professor Putricide's soul. The buff does not last the whole battle (~ 8-10 minutes), but only 6 minutes. Therefore, in order to successfully complete the quest, you need to use the spell in the second half of the battle - towards the end of the second phase. You must also stay alive, otherwise the task will not count.
Priests and druids will help you gain energy thanks to their talents - Encouragement and Ascension. Both work great on the abomination.
The second stage is endowing the ax with the Power of blood. For this purpose, we need to kill .
In this fight, the [Darkmourne] challenger will need to get the Blood Mirror debuff at the start of the fight. The debuff is placed on OT, so you should warn him and your Raid Leader in advance that you need to run to the boss at the beginning of the fight along with the main tank. You must be treated abundantly. Having received the coveted debuff, we return to the starting position in the raid.
Next, you need to try the blood of your allies three times. Therefore, it is very important that the first person with the Essence of the Blood Queen bite you. Every 60 seconds you tactically bite an unoccupied raid member. After each bite, another debuff stacks on you - Bleeding Wound . When you land your third bite, the debuffs will disappear and be replaced by Satisfying Thirst . It remains only to finish off the boss, while remaining alive.
Helpful Hints:
- Ask the healers to throw protection on you at the beginning of the fight, when you find yourself under the influence of the mirror.
- In no case (!!!) use a bubble (paladin) or an anti-magic shield (dk) - this will remove the debuffs you need from you and the quest will not count.
The power of ice. For a moment, Highlord Darion Mograine seems to take pity on Sindragosa, but she will have to be dealt with in order to complete the final stage of the [Edge of Darkness] consecration, as well as Professor Mezocide and the Blood Queen.
In this quest, you will need to survive the Ice Breath of the Dragon Queen four times. The breath deals about 50,000 damage. frost damage. If you are not a tank, there is only one way to survive - to put on a set of armor for frost resistance. Do you remember? Once such was crafted throughout the raid to kill Sapphiron in Naxxrammas. It will not be superfluous to also wear part of the tank uniforms.
The fight with the dragon begins, she lands. Your task is to stand next to the tank, so that you have the dragon's breath. Sindragosa breathes about once every 20 seconds. Each breath slows you down by 15%. The Edge of Darkness absorbs every breath, filling with the powers of ice. Upon reaching 4 charges, your weapon is Iced Forged . We finish what we started - we finish the boss. The fight with Sindragosa is quite long, so if you are not sure about your raid DPS, you should time it so that there is less than 6 minutes until the end of the fight when you get the Iceforged Blade debuff, otherwise it will subside and the task will not be counted.
The whole difficulty will lie in your survival. Get yourself a dedicated healer or run away from the boss between breaths under 50 [Shadow Ice Shards] should be stockpiled and brought to Highlord Darion Mograine at the entrance to Icecrown Citadel. Shards drop from bosses in the 25-man version. Drop rate is 20-50% on Normal difficulty and 50-99% on Heroic. It is easy to calculate that with incredible luck (each of the 12 bosses will give away a shard), you will need more than a month to collect. The chances in the Heroic version increase, but it's still not 100% and [Shadow Ice Shard] may not even drop there.
